A RL day is basically a month in vana'diel, and really how often do you have to wait a month for something to happen in the story? Not very much at all, it is over used because they didn't want players who didn't do their missions to suddenly catch up to the players who did it beforehand. I think they use game day wait too much though, as is RL day.
Note that you can only farm this zone once per day (reset for this is JP midnight). In the case that you "need to wait until tomorrow" for certain events to take place in the story line, I think a game day wait is acceptable since you can plan what your doing out and finish up a few minutes before the day changes. I think there needs to be a standard of two: I would like to play the game, not wait to play the game later.I would have to disagree with every single one.
